You are invited to the 12th annual Michigan Family Farms Conference, an annual gathering and forum for beginning, small-scale and culturally diverse farmers to network, learn and build sustainable family farms. As we’re looking toward sustaining our future of thriving local food systems, two themes arise over and over again – healthy soils and healthy communities.
This year’s conference, “Sustain our Future - Healthy Soils, Healthy Communities”, features eight conference tracks reflecting that theme, including a youth track, to serve farmers from all facets of the food system - beginning, culturally diverse, women, and veteran farmers. Speakers and workshops highlight topics relevant to participants in hopes of making them more competitive within the market and more sustainable on the farm. Sessions focus on food safety certification, soil health, beneficial insects, farm management, new and beginning farmer opportunities, funding sources, and customer connections. This year, the Conference Committee is asking those invested in family farms to show your support for the conference by donating to this cause. Every dollar ycounts and directly supports the conference; your generosity will have a significant impact on the farmers we support. Click here to donate.
Registration will open in November.
