We all know that Food Safety is an incredibly important topic, and anyone who grows, packages, processes, sells, or eats food products will be directly affected by the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Proposed revisions are currently up for comment until December 15th. Once finalized, these rules will become law, and all growers regardless of size, will need to make at least some changes as a result.
The Allen Market Place is excited to host Lindsey Scalera of Michigan Voices for Good Food Policy and Tim Slawinski of the Michigan Dept. of Agriculture and Rural Development to share their analysis of the proposed changes. A facilitated Q&A with our panel will take place afterwards.
Learn how to comment on this important legislation, and what you should focus on when writing to the FDA. Plus, learn more about what you should expect from state regulators.
