Women in Agriculture Farm Development Center Hoophouse Build #2 Day
Date: November 8, 2015
Location: Grand Blanc, MI
We had such a productive time yesterday…. let’s do it again! We installed 50 groundposts, assembled 25 bows, set 7 bows, assembled straps for purlins, installed one purlin, ate many sandwiches, 2 dozen donuts, apples and apple pie!
Next Sunday’s hoophouse build will include installing the purlins (the ribs that hold the bows together on top) baseboards, hip boards and end walls. Get hands-on experience building a season extending hoophouse (passive solar greenhouse) and support a great initiative! Event – WIA Hoophouse Build Day 2 on Sunday November 8, 2015.
