The MSU Product Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) was established in Spring, 2003 to improve economic opportunities in the Michigan agriculture, food and natural resource sectors. The Product Center helps producers develop and commercialize high value, consumer-responsive products and businesses for new entrepreneurs and established businesses alike through the services of ANR Innovation Counselors.
In this project, funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, MIFFS was involved in design and preliminary planning for the statewide incubator and resource center that would assist agricultural entrepreneurs with business and product development. Through this project, MIFFS is making broad based connections with both the agriculture and economic development communities in promoting Michigan's Product Agriculture.
