The Protect Michigan Commission (http://michigan.gov/ProtectMICommission), comprised of a diverse group of leaders from the across the state, will work to ensure that every Michigan resident has the most up-to-date information on the COVID-19 vaccine. Established by Executive Order 2020-193, the Commission will serve as an advisory group to Governor Whitmer and the Department of Health and Human Services. The commission will work to protect the health and safety of Michigan residents by educating communities about the effectiveness of an approved COVID-19 vaccine to eradicate the spread of the coronavirus.

The goal of the Protect MI Commission Rural Workgroup Communication Network is to identify resources to assist with the statewide vaccine plan and disseminate critical information to stakeholders and community members about the vaccine. Through this network we hope to gather information about groups and potential outreach events to present vaccine information. The network will assist with the creation of go to digital warriors to promote content and push back on misinformation.
